On April 27, 2016, a panel of experts provided an overview of challenges and solutions to ethical problems that arise in creating and disseminating research surveys and questionnaires. The issues discussed included: Dealing with socially and personally sensitive topic Protecting privacy and confidentiality, including avoiding indirect identification of research participants and issues raised by online survey platforms Gender-inclusive and gender-sensitive data collection Recruitment for online and other surveys Recognition of participants' research contributions
