This project compares Immanuel Kant’s philosophy of moral law with the Qur’an’s teachings on ethics and reason. It outlines Kant’s view that moral action arises from universal rational principles rather than external authority, then examines similar Qur’anic calls to use reason and act with free will and good intention. The study identifies three shared themes: reason and free thinking, freedom and responsibility, and moral intention, showing that both systems connect morality to rational reflection, though they differ in grounding -- human reason for Kant and divine revelation for Islam.
