Description / Synopsis

Deals with the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919 from the perspectives of W.A. Pritchard, a central participant, and Norman Penner, a historian of the strike. Topics include the historical record of the strike, the Red Scare Menace, socialism in Canada, the disappearance of the trial transcripts for the charged strikers, Pritchard's address to the jury at his trial in 1920, Pritchard's political education, and the One Big Union.
